INSTRUCTORS
The instructors are Lori & Galen Fletcher.
Lori’s credentials are a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education, and an Associate degree in Psychology (with a focus on counseling and child development).
Her education and child/youth work experience includes being a full-time teacher’s aide for South Sanpete School District, as well as a K-8 substitute teacher in South Sanpete School District (Manti UT), North Sanpete School District (Mt Pleasant UT), and Athenian eAcademy charter school (Ephraim UT). She has been employed full-time in three different preschools (in Nevada, New York, and Utah), worked with Spanish-speaking people for 18 months, and taken college-level Spanish courses.
Lori’s prior credentials include being certified with Nevada Registry (preschool worker) and the Red Cross (first aid), and taking continuing education classes.
Galen’s credentials are an Associates degree in Communications (with a Business emphasis), a Bachelors degree in History (with a Spanish minor), and a joint Masters in Library Science/Juris Doctorate degree. He also completed a professional massage therapy program.
His education work experience includes being a K-12 substitute teacher in Churchill County School District (Fallon NV), North Sanpete School District (Mt Pleasant UT), South Sanpete School District (Manti UT), Oasis Academy charter school (Fallon NV), and Athenian eAcademy charter school (Ephraim UT). He also has worked as a full-time librarian in three libraries (two university libraries and one county-level library), taught three graduate courses at the university level, and served as a full-time volunteer aide at a preschool.
Galen’s prior education credentials include being certified with Nevada Registry (preschool worker), Nevada Department of Education (substitute teacher license), and the Red Cross (first aid).
